You CAN Change Things

Frances Lloyd

I want to talk to you about the Word of Knowledge and Word of Wisdom in particular today. I have heard so much negative just being accepted, it must be dealt with. The first scripture that you need to read is found in (Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We have become faith beings once we have accepted Jesus. This is how we live. It is by faith. (Romans 1:17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith. Just means justified or to restore to “just as we were before.” We were given the authority to change our world around us when he said in (Matthew 18:18) Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. And of course in (Luke 10:19) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Yes, the Word does tell us in (Amos 3:7) Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. He does tell us things ahead of time because now we are to use our authority in the name of Jesus to pray it out of the way. That is what faith is all about. It was never intended for you to accept everything as just an unchangeable fact.

You are given the information through the Holy Spirit so that you can use your authority to deal with it. I was asked the question once “How do you know if it is God warning you about something or satan trying to scare you?” You handle it the same way. Use your authority in the name of Jesus. Bind the enemy’s plans and loose the will of God. It doesn’t matter if it is the fear of something or the actual something. They are both from the enemy and subject to change via faith.

When I was first filled with the spirit of God, I was driving home one day when I passed a grocery store where a friend that I had been witnessing to worked. As I passed by, I suddenly knew for sure that my friend was very sick. I stopped and went inside. Sure enough she was in the back room too sick to go home. She was afraid to be alone the way she felt. I suddenly know why God had told me she was sick. It was because He wanted to heal her. Healing is the will of God. I knew that the Holy Spirit did not tell me that so that I would be smart and knowledgeable. It was because I was to use the authority in the name of Jesus and pray for her healing. She was instantly healed. That was my first Word of Knowledge that I can recall. Even on the first one, the Holy Spirit caused me to know that it was for the purpose of doing something about it. I realize that there is a scripture that tells us (1 Corinthians 14:25) And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. That is not the same. Sometimes the Lord will tell you just enough about someone so that they will know positively that it is God speaking. It is to raise their faith to receive from Him. .

As a minister, I have prayed for thousands of people through the years. Many were healed and some were not. That doesn’t stop me from praying God’s will any way. There is a scripture (Hebrews 9:27) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Everyone has an appointed time to die. All other times we are to pray for and believe God for healing because healing is the will of God. Since I am not God and do have not right to choose a person’s time to die, I make it a practice to always stand in faith for healing. I try to make sure that I always keep my confession right and perfectly lined up with the perfect will of God. I exercise my faith always. I leave the results up to God. You still have the responsibility to stand in faith until the last second. Don’t forget that after you pray the prayer of faith, you have to keep your confession right as well. Blessing and cursing should not come out of the same mouth. In James the word said if we are double minded, don’t think we will receive anything from God.

How many times have you heard someone say that God showed them something terrible was going to happen? It is not so you will just “know” it. It is for you to use your authority to pray it out of the way.

Prayer changes things. Yes, we are coming to the end of times. That is no excuse for us to take on this world’s economy and the sin in our country and sink into defeat. Prayer changes things. Did the famine stop God from moving for the widow woman when she gave her last cake to Elijah? Did the famine stop God from providing for the children of Israel in famine when Joseph’s time came? For that matter, can anything stop God?

We all know that it is not the will of God for this country or its people to perish. (John 3:17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. We must quit just accepting all the negative things going on in this country. Ask yourself… Is it the will of God for us to have same sex marriages? Is it the will of God to have a depression? They called it famine back in the Old Testament times. He told us in Phillipians 4, that He would supply all of our need. All still means ALL. That is like telling a parent deciding not to furnish water this month for their family or perhaps groceries. No God said all and He did stutter. He said ALL.

Another reason not to accept the negative you hear is found in (1 John 5:14) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:(1 John 5:15) And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him We were instructed to pray in line with His Word or His will. He also told us in 1 John 4:4 that “greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.”

Prayer is what it is all about. Prayer works. Prayer in Jesus name works. You don’t accept the junk in the world or it’s right into our lives. You are not subject to this country’s economics. You are subject to God’s economics. You are only subject to God’s promises. You are not subject to what the world is doing around you. You have power in the name of Jesus to change your world.

Use your authority in the use of His name. You can change your world. Do it. Be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. If we don’t use our authority in the name of Jesus every time, we are saying sometimes satan is bigger than God. No Way!

In Him,

Prophetess Frances Lloyd
