My Greatest Loss

The second and much more major life-changing event happened to me at the sudden and unexpected loss of my younger brother Brian (a.k.a. "Buzz"). I only have two brothers and no sisters, and Buzz was the brother that I was always the closest to. He was also becoming my new riding buddy since he had just bought a V65 Honda Magna, which was bringing us even closer. I did bring him to Church with me - Praise God! but he wouldn't come forward for altar call to accept the Lord as his Savior. Just one week later, he had his motorcycle accident.

I found out at the funeral home that Buzz had been going around telling his friends (four days before the wreck) that "God is my buddy" and "Jesus is my friend" - trust me, Buzz NEVER talked like that!!!! Between  hearing that, the Peace that God gave me, and the confirmation that my friend and Prayer Warrior Barbara gave me (she gave me a Word that the Holy Spirit spoke to her about him and tested the Spirit first to see that it actually was of Him), I am totally convinced that I will see my Brother again and we will both be sharing eternity together with God the Father and Jesus Christ our Savior. I do Praise God for all of You Prayer Warriors out there, You really really held me up so well Spiritually through all of this!!!!

Losing my brother really knocked the wind out of my sails, but NEVER

shook my Faith or total TRUST in God, not even in the tiniest bit. All I

wanted was for my little brother to rise up again out of that coma like

Lazarus - but God had other plans for him. And I Trusted God still,

that He knows what is best for us, even when things are going bad.

Sure, I mourned greatly at this tremendous loss, but getting mad at

God never entered into the equation. Only God knows the answer

as to why this happened and I cannot answer for Him because 'His

ways are not our ways.' (Isaiah 55:8) All I know is that I trust God

COMPLETELY, no matter what has happened and no matter what

is going to happen in my life. God IS in control.
